Survival Camp 2025

We are honored to host Mr Konrad Tomczyk, who will come to REFEREE.PL as a guest. Some of you may know him as he was many years Top Polish League and FIBA referee. But he is the most known as one of the best instructors, presenters and interpreters of the basketball rules in the history of Polish basketball. Kuba can tell you how his refereeing story began exactly because of this man.

Mr Tomczyk started to referee in 1967, he was officiating National Polish League from 1972 for 25 years being one of the best referees of his times. In the meantime he became FIBA referee in 1982. Mr Tomczyk officially finished his career in 1997 and many years was not taking active part in the basketball world, but following everything for himself/on his own. Now it came the time he decided to come back and pass his incredible feeling for basketball to younger refs. Please give him a warm welcome.

This is going to be the first time for Darek as an instructor at REFEREE.PL. Many of you can actually remember him as participant of the camp at the first editions. Well this was in 2004 and now Darek is an International referee and is coming to join OUR TEAM.

Darek Zapolski is a referee since 1995, and officiates regularly top polish league from the moment he got there in 2004. Two years ago Darek became FIBA referee and has been going to the international competitions. We are very happy to have one more active referee from the European league to help our camp participants to develop their practical skill on the court.

As you could read for the past two weeks we have announced some of the instructors who will be coming to the camp this year. To this great group for the second time in a row you can add as well – Piotr Pastusiak, who is an international referee from Poland.

Piotr is a great case of an official who became an international referee in 2010 and before that was once participating in our camp and now he is coming for the second time in a row as an instructor. Piotr has a great teaching background and professional teaching skills, as this is also his regular job. There is nothing better to hear fresh feedback from an active referee who is officiating regularly European competitions. Looking back to his career, Piotr started to officiate in 1994 and reach polish top level in 2004. 6 years after he became an international referee. He is officiating ULEB competition since last year. From back then Piotr was joining big tournaments such as Euroleague Women Final 8 in Yekaterinburg or Eurobasket Women in France in 2013.
